The Andreu Group with the Valls Chamber of Commerce and Pimec

Valls, November 12, 2025. The Grup Andreu has participated, with the Valls Chamber of Commerce i Pimec, in a conference in which the impact of the increase in absenteeism was analyzed.

The event began with a conference by the secretary general of Pimec, Joseph Ginesta, who explained the main data and conclusions of the study on temporary disability, prepared by the Observatory of SME of Catalonia. The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Valls, Josep M. Rovira, commented that “work absenteeism is, nowadays, one of the issues that most concerns companies in our territory, not only because of its economic consequences, but also because it directly affects the cohesion of teams and the proper functioning of organizations”. The president of Pimec Tarragona, Jordi Ciuraneta, pointed out during his speech that “absenteeism due to IT poses a productivity and cost problem for companies in terms of economic activity and the management of absences”.

The day concluded with a business experiences panel with the participation of Jordi Andreu, manager of the Andreu Group industrial projects and representative of Pimec in the Plenary of the Camba de Valls; Raquel Collado, HR manager ofEMPDEP; and David Nieto, HR manager at Fèlix Hotel.
