What is Back Up in investors and what is it for? 

The Back Up is a mechanism that offers a magneto-thermal protection which is placed in place of the general switch of the electrical installation of the home or premises. In addition to performing the protection function, in the event of an interruption in the power supply from the network, it sends information to the inverter and it isolates itself. That is, it only works with the energy coming from the photovoltaic panels and the battery. When the Back Up It detects that the energy supply has returned to normal, notifies the inverter and it returns to normal operation.

The operation of the inverter in Back Up is in what is known as island mode: it disconnects the inverter from the network and only allows power to be supplied to the loads that operate in separate mode, either in total Back Up or in Back Up of critical loads.

Reconnection to the network will only occur after the distribution network voltage remains within normal limits for at least three minutes.
