SpainSkills 2026: “We have to go this way”

With the aim of supporting vocational training in its technological aspect, the Vallese company Andreu Mantenimient Industrial participated as a sponsoring company in the final phase of’SpainSkills 2026 which was held from 25 to 28 February at the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid.

It is with this vision that Andreu Manteniment sponsored, in a demonstration format, the Renewable Energy Module of SpainSkills 2026, who coordinated the final state phase, the Catalan David Calabria Perez, professor of The Martí l'Humà Institute of Montblanc

Jordi Andreu, manager of Andreu Industrial Maintenance, valued SpainSkills: “We have stood alongside the best in vocational training and have seen how technology companies have been present for years. We must learn from this model because it is a successful journey that motivates and trains young people with the latest technology.”. “We have to go this way.” concluded.

SpainSkills 2026 is the national vocational training competition, in which more than 500 vocational training students from all the autonomous communities of the State took part and competed in 31 different competition categories, three of which were demonstration events, such as the renewable energies category sponsored by Andreu Manteniment.

Beyond the competitive aspect, which is very important, this competition serves as a means to motivate students, teachers and companies, as it allows students to demonstrate their real-world skills in the workplace and grants them academic recognition through a competition that motivates them to strive to achieve their goals, improving their learning and techniques.

Moreover, it serves as a window for companies to assess the talent and skills developed by vocational training students, and as a means of exchanging experiences and acquiring new techniques among the participants themselves. By awarding prizes to the best in each category, it underlines the importance of excellence in vocational training.

Ultimately, CatSkills first, the Catalan phase of the competition, SpainSkills after and beyond European Skills i WorldSkills They are authentic. Talent generation engines from Vocational Training. Companies pour all their technological potential into it so that students can undertake placements using cutting-edge technology. The result is clear: better-trained, more motivated young people eager to join companies to develop their own and other projects.

The experience of this competition spurs on the Andreu Group industrial projects to work even more closely with vocational training institutes and polytechnic universities in order to train the young talent who will join our companies.
